Refund Policy

This Refund Policy describes how payments, subscriptions, and usage credits are handled for PromptEval.

By purchasing or subscribing to PromptEval, you agree to the terms described below.

1. No Refunds

All payments made to PromptEval are non-refundable.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Subscription fees
  • Token or usage credit purchases
  • Add-ons or upgrades
  • Promotional purchases
  • Renewals

PromptEval provides digital services that are immediately accessible and may consume computing resources upon use, making transactions irreversible once processed.

Because of this, we do not provide refunds or partial refunds for any completed payment.

2. AI Compute and Usage-Based Services

PromptEval performs evaluation runs using large language model providers and managed compute resources.

When an evaluation run or API call is executed:

  • Tokens are consumed
  • Compute resources are used
  • Third-party API costs may be incurred

These resources are consumed immediately, and therefore cannot be reversed or refunded, even if the results do not meet expectations.

Users are responsible for reviewing configuration settings and datasets before running evaluations.

3. Subscription Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time.

When a subscription is canceled:

  • Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period
  • You will not be charged for the next billing cycle
  • No refunds or prorated refunds will be issued for the remaining time in the current billing period

Cancellation only affects future billing.

4. Plan Changes

If you upgrade or downgrade your plan:

  • Changes may take effect immediately or at the next billing cycle, depending on billing configuration
  • Previous payments will not be refunded

Upgrades may result in immediate charges for the price difference if applied mid-cycle.

5. Tokens, Credits, and Promotional Balances

PromptEval may provide managed tokens, credits, or promotional balances, including complimentary tokens for new users.

These balances:

  • Have no monetary value
  • Cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash
  • May expire
  • Are non-transferable

Unused balances do not qualify for refunds.

6. Technical Errors

If a confirmed technical issue within PromptEval prevents a service from being delivered (for example, a failed evaluation run due to a platform error), we may at our discretion:

  • Reprocess the request
  • Restore consumed credits
  • Provide equivalent replacement credits

Refunds are generally not issued for technical errors.

7. Duplicate Charges or Billing Errors

If you believe you were charged incorrectly due to:

  • Duplicate payments
  • Billing errors
  • Incorrect plan charges

Please contact us within 7 days of the charge.

Verified billing errors may be corrected by:

  • Reversing the duplicate charge
  • Issuing equivalent service credit

8. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute without contacting us first may result in:

  • Suspension or termination of your PromptEval account
  • Loss of access to services and balances
  • Permanent restriction from future use of the platform

9. Policy Updates

PromptEval may update this Refund Policy from time to time.

Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.

Continued use of the service after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
